Inspiration: Baroque Architecture

Dramatic Baroque architecture of the 16th century creates the stage in the classic cities of  Naples, Puglia, Rome and throughout Sicily. No wonder Italian designers draw inspiration from the fanciful and richly decorated facades. With its name hailing from Portugal, it comes from "Baroco" – rough and irregular. The bright, ornate, luminous trademarks of Baroque lend well to fashion – creating a space for the individual artistic expression – luxurious, bright, over the top, and unmistakably present. Versace, Ferre and Moschino lead the pack of contemporary Italian designers in creating dramatic masterpieces with a robust identity of their own.
